Convert WebM to MP3

Browser recordings, meeting recorders and many downloaded videos come as WebM. Take the sound out as an MP3 (128 kb/s) — with or without video in the file.

Your file never leaves your device. It is converted right here, in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

Questions

My WebM file has video — does that work?
Yes. The tool takes only the sound and leaves the picture out, so the MP3 is much smaller than the video.
What sound does a WebM file contain?
Opus or Vorbis. The tool reads both and converts them to MP3.
I recorded audio in the browser and got a .webm file — what is it?
Chrome and Edge save microphone recordings as WebM with Opus sound. It is an ordinary audio file; convert it here if a program wants MP3.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
Your file never leaves your device. It is converted right here, in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
