Convert MP3 to WAV

Some editing programs, samplers and phone systems accept only WAV. Here an MP3 becomes an uncompressed WAV (16-bit PCM).

Questions

Will the WAV sound better than the MP3?
No. The WAV keeps exactly what is in the MP3 — it can’t bring back what MP3 compression removed. Convert when a program requires WAV.
How big will the WAV be?
About 10 MB per minute of stereo at 44.1 kHz — roughly ten times a 128 kb/s MP3. That’s why this tool takes recordings up to about an hour and a half (a WAV of up to 1 GB).
What kind of WAV do I get?
16-bit PCM with the same sample rate and channels as the MP3 (up to 48 kHz, stereo) — the most widely supported kind of WAV.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
Your file never leaves your device. It is converted right here, in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
