Transcription and subtitles for podcasts and video
Upload an episode or a video file — MP4, MOV, MKV and more — and get a transcript with speaker names, ready for show notes, subtitles and quotes.
How SonaFact helps
Subtitles people can read
SRT and WebVTT with up to 42 characters per line and two lines per subtitle. Subtitles that are still too fast to read are listed before you download.
Chapters and show notes
A summary of the episode on every plan, and chapters with timestamps on Pro and Studio — each point links to the moment it comes from.
Clips of the best moments
Mark a fragment and share it by link: the listener sees and hears only that clip. Downloading a clip's audio starts on Starter.
Good to know
Subtitles are made from the transcript, so correct the transcript first and the subtitles follow. Put guest names and recurring terms in your glossary once, and every later episode is transcribed with them in mind.
Which plan
The free plan takes 3 files a day, up to 30 minutes each. A longer episode needs a paid plan: files up to 3 hours on Starter, 6 on Pro and 10 on Studio. Chapters are on Pro and Studio.
The file stays in your browser until you create a free account — no card needed.
