Format a transcript and save it as DOCX

Paste a transcript, give the speakers their real names and choose the layout. Download it as a Word document with the names in bold, or as a text file.

Your text stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded and you don't need an account.

Have the recording too? SonaFact turns it into a transcript with speakers and timestamps — 3 transcripts a day for free, up to 30 minutes each.

Questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?
Your text stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded and you don't need an account.
Which transcripts can it read?
Text where each turn starts with a speaker name and a colon, with or without a timestamp: “Speaker 1: …”, “[00:01:23] Anna: …” or “Anna (01:23): …”. The SonaFact text export works as it is.
What does the Word file look like?
The title on top, then one paragraph per turn: the timestamp if you keep it, the speaker's name in bold and what they said.
Can I give two speakers the same name?
Yes. Type the same name for both; with “Merge consecutive turns” on, their neighbouring turns become one paragraph.
