Anonymize an interview transcript
List the people and organisations to hide. The tool replaces every form you list with a label — [P1], [ORG1] — and finds emails, phone numbers and long numbers, such as account numbers, by their shape. The table of replacements downloads as a separate file.
Your text stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded and you don't need an account.
Put other forms of the same name on the same line, after commas: Anna Kowalska, Anna, Ania
This is a helper, not a guarantee. It finds only the names and forms on your list; nicknames, addresses and details described in words stay in the text. Read the result before you share it.
Have the recording too? SonaFact turns it into a transcript with speakers and timestamps — 3 transcripts a day for free, up to 30 minutes each.

- List the people and organisations to hide — with other forms of each name after commas — and choose what to find by shape.
- Click Anonymize, read the result, then download the transcript and, separately, the table of replacements.
Questions
- Are my files uploaded anywhere?
- Your text stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded and you don't need an account.
- Does the tool find every name by itself?
- No. It replaces only the names and forms you list, plus the emails, phone numbers and long numbers it recognises by their shape. Anything else — a nickname, a street, a job title — stays in the text, so read the result before you share it.
- What about names that change their ending, as in Polish or Russian?
- List every form on the same line, after commas — for example Anna, Anny, Annę. All forms on one line get the same label.
- Why is the table of replacements a separate file?
- So you can share the anonymized transcript without the key. The table shows which label stands for which name: store it apart from the transcript, or don't keep it at all.
