Fade a recording in and out

Questions
- Can I fade only the end?
- Yes. Set the fade-in to 0 and only the end fades out — or the other way round.
- Does the length of the recording change?
- No. The fades are applied to the first and last seconds of the recording; nothing is added or cut.
- What if the recording is shorter than the fade?
- Then the fade covers the whole recording: a fade-out longer than the recording starts at its very beginning.
